Sheet Metal Assembly

Syndeo is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Assembler for a local aircraft component manufacturing company.
This is a direct-hire opportunity and has a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits.
1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: based on experience
Essential Functions:
- Assemble parts using blueprints and written instructions.
- Measure, grind, deburr, and finish parts to meet requirements.
- Inspect components, document issues, and work with Quality on nonconforming parts.
- Operates tools and equipment such as countersinking tools, c-squeezes, rivet guns, arbor press, grinder, belt sander, drill press, magnifying glass, epoxy machine, ovens, sonic machine, test rigs, fixtures, gauges, and hydraulic press.
- Record job information accurately in the production system.
- Support testing and final inspection of finished products.
- Keeps manager informed on workload, work status, problems, and progress.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Previous 5 years of assembly experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Mechanical and technical skills, problem solving, organization, analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and maintain reliable attendance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must have good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in a demanding fast-paced environment where priorities and instruction can shift daily.
Physical Demand:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when required. While performing duties, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, twist, grasp, lift, and reach. Vision abilities require good close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The work environment is not climate controlled, and the noise level is typical for a metal fabrication operation.
