Dental Receptionist

The Dental Receptionist is responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the dental front desk and office, including but not limited to maintenance of the records of patients, scheduling, accounts receivable, maintaining appearance and order of dental office, and recall/recare system. May also be required to assist with general front office duties. 

DUTIES

  • Manage daily dental office operations, including opening and closing.
  • Maintain a professional, clean, and HIPAA-compliant environment.
  • Greet and check in patients, verify information, and manage appointments.
  • Handle patient relations, complaints, and follow-up communications.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and manage voicemail.
  • Gather and record insurance information, update records, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Prepare patient charts, track referrals, and organize claim materials.
  • Monitor and order office supplies; ensure equipment is functioning.
  • Participate in staff meetings and assist the office manager as needed.
  • Sort mail and send out patient and referral correspondence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Legible handwriting for communications
  • Office experiences desired
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with patients and staff
  • Team player who can adapt to office policy improvements (office is constantly striving for improved customer care/service)
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • 2+ years office experience
  • Attention to detail with great accuracy in data entry

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:00 - 4:00 pm. (32 hours)

Pay: $16 BOE
