Syndeo Outsourcing is seeking a Benefits Administrator for their growing HR Outsourcing company in Wichita, KS. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The Benefits Administrator will be responsible for maintaining benefit plans for all clients by updating and documenting changes of existing benefit plans, working with carriers on benefit enrollments and changes and establishing benefit deductions in a Human Resource Information System.


Key job responsibilities include:

  • Process benefit paperwork for all benefit eligible employees (for multiple clients)
  • Work closely with insurance carriers and clients in order to enroll, change, or terminate benefit coverage 
  • Accurately set up and verify payroll deductions for all employees enrolled in benefits
  • Create and maintain appropriate client documentation in order to track, monitor, and administer a wide array of benefit plans among various clients
  • Update internal departments on important changes related to client benefits
  • Provide back-up to other Benefits Administrator on benefits eligibility and 401k eligibility tracking
  • Provide back-up to other Benefits Administrator on COBRA administration tasks
  • Provide back-up to Benefits System Administrator with setting up benefit plans and rules in a Human Resource Information System
  • Address and resolve benefit reconciliation variances with vendors and internal staff efficiently
  • Maintain an outstanding level of customer service for clients and internal employees
  • Other duties as assigned


Candidates must possess the following competencies and traits:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Management or related field.
  • High attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collect and analyze large amounts of data and consolidate it to present to clients, employees, etc.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to clients and vendors
  • Capability to analyze numerical data
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to work on very short deadlines and manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes
