Syndeo Staffing has an immediate, temporary opening for 3 general laborers for the City of Wichita. 

This position will be responsible for providing general labor services to the City of Wichita Landfill to include digging, filling holes and assisting the crew with other manual labor tasks. 

Candidates must have steel toed boots and be comfortable working outside in the elements the majority of the day. 

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and background pre-employment screenings.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am-5:30 pm; Some Saturdays - 7:30 am - 2:30 pm not to exceed 40 hours per week. Schedule will vary. 

Pay: $15.7887/hour

Job Abilities / Requirements:  

• Work outdoors when inclement weather conditions exist shoveling snow, sand, trash, gravel.
• Should be able to tolerate exposure to airborne environmental nuisances associated with traffic and machine exhaust, open grounds, and construction.
• Tolerate equipment and machinery noise with the use of ear plugs.
• Safely and effectively swing a 12-pound sledge hammer against brick, concrete, or similar substances.
• Lift and carry bulky items weighing up to 50 pounds (laborer) 
• Ability to pull, shove or otherwise maneuver items weighing up to 150 pounds with the assistance of another person.
• Ability to be continuously performing tasks that require one to push, pull, climb (ladders and in and out of vehicular equipment), bend, twist, reach, stand, and walk about (up to a half mile at a time) for most of  the 8-10 hour shift.
